We just wanted to give you a quick encouragement to be thankful this Thanksgiving. Revolutionary right? I know. It seems like everyone should know to be “thankful” on “Thanksgiving”, but are we? Are we truly thankful for what the Lord has given us? Is the day built around which football game is on, or if the food is going to be good? Where is our passion on this Thanksgiving day? Are we more wrapped up in what “down” it is, or are we conscious of the fact that, in the very place we will stand on this Thanksgiving day WE ARE A WITNESS….
Throughout the entire scope of Scripture great men and women were certain that God was “holding them back,” only to find at the end of their trial and testing that God was not holding them back, but instead, He was “holding them up”.

In Acts 19, we read that Paul was preaching Christ without compromise. In doing so, he actually affected the profits of the pagan marketplace. There was an uproar! It was a close call for Paul and his friends, but God preserved them, and Paul encouraged his friends in their faith.

A few weeks ago we started a study in Acts 11 concerning the generous giving of believers in the early church. This study led to a series regarding New Testament principles on giving. The series will end this Sunday with Pastor Matt answering questions that the congregation has submitted over the past four weeks.
