Throughout the entire scope of Scripture great men and women were certain that God was "holding them back," only to find at the end of their trial and testing that God was not holding them back, but instead, He was "holding them up". Joseph thanks God as he goes from prison to "prince". David thanks God as he ascends from "wimp" to warrior.

What is an "Ebenezer"? In Joshua 4, we see the memorial of the 12 stones at the crossing of the Jordan. The need for a time and place of reverence and reflection was established. We are compelled to look to the unique acts of God that bring us from our past to our present. And yet, we sometimes forget, question, or even complain as we see.....

There are many churches in our community. What makes each one different? What is "church", really? Why do we go, and what do we bring with us? In Acts 2, Luke laid out the blueprint, or the model, of what "church" was supposed to be. Church is not where we go...it's what we DO.

God wants to bring us back to a comprehensive view of who He is, and why He does what He does. All works of God are for His Glory alone.
