Maximize Your Moments
Nothing compensates for the volume of a life lived for the glory of God! It speaks louder than any words that could reach the ears, hearts, or minds of men. Paul’s prison was not a setting of silence, it was not a place of self-pity, it was a mountain from which Paul would shout the Word of God, and proclaim the hope of nations! Paul was a man who knew what it meant to maximize the moment!
Only Excellence For His Excellency
We should never be content, but continually striving to go farther in our intimacy with God, and in our service to God.
What Should I Do?
Pilate, in an attempt to please the crowd, asked them, “What then do you want me to do with Jesus?” How often do you make significant decisions with the noble idea of “pleasing the crowd”? As Easter comes upon us all, consider asking yourself the question Pilate asked: “What do I do with Jesus?” It is a question that has only one correct answer – and that answer is life changing.
The Ultimate Messages Of Paul’s Ministry – Part 2
As we are reading the ultimate messages of Paul’s ministry, do you ever stop and question: Where am I so pressed in spirit? So led of the Lord? What puts fire in my belly? What makes me say, "Before I die, I’ve got to do this"? And I’m not talking about bungee jumping, or checking off another box on your bucket list. The apostle Paul’s life is a screaming cry from the pages of scripture saying: "Don’t be ashamed of the Gospel! It’s the power of God!" Forget what’s behind and the reach forth for what’s ahead!"
Revengeance
How we receive correction and counsel is a real test of our relationship with God, and our willingness to live by His Word. In 1 Samuel 25, David is very forthright in facing the fact that he was wrong to react with revenge. The Lord forgave him, and the Lord solved the problem for him. Today, who is your “Abigail”? In other words, who is the one who has kept you from acting out in anger and vengeance by appealing to reason? ...
The Ultimate Messages Of Paul’s Ministry – Part 1
We are reading the ultimate messages of Paul’s ministry. Do you ever stop and think: Where am I so pressed in spirit? So led of the Lord? What puts fire in my belly? What makes me say, "Before I die, I’ve got to do this"? ...
Temptation – Retaliation
I think most of us struggle with the thought that if we treat our “Sauls” the way David treated his, it’s possible nothing may happen … our own "Sauls" may not weep and repent, like we would hope they would. Let’s be honest, it’s rare when "Sauls" repent and relationships are restored. But, the reason for our Christ-like response is not because it changes our “Sauls,” but...
God’s Heart For The Nations
From the Old Testament to the New Testament, God's plan for the Muslim world is becoming a reality. In Acts Chapter 2, we see Peter preaching to the crowd, following the coming of the Holy Spirit. "In these last days, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn red..."
The Paradox Of The Perfect Storm – Part 2
This week Pastor Matt will be continuing with Part 2 of the message he began last week, "The Paradox of the Perfect Storm". In Acts 27, Paul begins his journey to Rome by sailing through stormy seas. Though all hope seems lost, God promises Paul that he and the crew will survive...
