Your Connection to Coastal
If you've ever been to one of our Baptism's in the past you know that it is a celebration that the whole Fellowship takes part in. As those go under and are baptized the shouting and clapping can be heard on the beach ensuring the baptized that they are welcome with wide open arms into the family of believers who have taken the plunge and shown outwardly that we are saved by grace and we are not ashamed to show it.

Preaching Through The Fire

Paul was trying to do his best to preach the message of the Gospel without compromise. In doing so, he actually affected the people who made shrines and false gods. There was an uproar. It was a close call not merely for Paul, but especially for his friends, yet God preserved them and encouraged them in their faith.

Hurricane Update

Greetings to all of you of the Coastal Christian family. I am sad for a number of reasons that we’ve not been able worship and study God’s word together this week. I hope that you’ve received the message from the prayer chain encouraging everyone to pray for those who will be seriously affected by this storm. Due to the conditions worsening and the cancellation of our 3 services tomorrow I would invite you to follow this link to our sermon archives. Please be safe. We love you and hope to see you all soon.

See You There,

Hurricane Warning Will Postpone Our Baptism

Have you heard about the massive hurricane that is headed our way on Sunday? If not, you can find some really cool information about it here and you can actually track it live on the Weather Channel’s website by clicking the image below. Well anyway, it is supposed to be pretty big. So big in fact, that the NJ State Office of Emergency Management is telling people to “top off your gas tanks, stock up on canned goods, batteries, other necessities and tune in for weather updates.” Well then, some may ponder, “What if Irene veers away and it ends up sunny and nice? It’s happened before. Surely then we will still have the CCOC Beach Baptism…right?” Nope. We also know that the whether it rains or shines the city would not approve of us being in the water with the strong undercurrents and rough seas, so we are going to respect them, make them happy, and keep everyone safe too. Sweet.

Having love and compassion for our Fellowship at Coastal Christian Ocean City, we are going to postpone the CCOC Beach Baptism until the following Sunday (9/4/11). We hope that you will all still try to make it out and support those being baptized. If you’ve ever been to one of our Baptisms in the past you know that it is a celebration that the whole Fellowship takes part in. As people go under and are baptized the shouting and clapping can be heard on the beach ensuring the baptized that they are being welcomed with wide open arms into a family of believers. What an awesome thing it is to take the plunge and proclaim outwardly that we are saved by grace and we are not ashamed to show it!

Hope to see you there!  Sunday 9/4/11 at 4pm on 59th Street Beach

Putting Giants In Proper Perspective – Part 2

Goliath had a weakness that he never knew about until the moment David’s rock hit him in the head. Sure, he had strength - everyone could see it - they could see it in his size, in the way he wore his armor, and within the arrogant words spewing from his mouth. But instead of David seeing these as strengths, David saw it all as his weakness, his vulnerability.

Who Ordered The Revival – This Sunday

In Acts 19 we see a group of ‘spiritualists’ try to use Jesus’ name to further their own! The name of Jesus Christ is not some kind of lucky charm, or magic rabbit’s foot to be used to fulfill my needs, make me happy, or satisfy my expectations - in particular, silver-spooned expectations of the western world. I don’t know a lot of things, but I know this: God works His power through those whom He chooses, for His greatness and for His glory...I hope to be one of them.

Putting Giants In Proper Perspective

I want to challenge you to view any and every situation from God’s point of view. That's how you put “giants” in their proper perspective. That's how you put “giants” in their place. When God enables you to see the way He sees, it strengthens you in ways you never would have dreamed!

Even Warriors Worship Thursday Night 7pm

The king asks David to be his musician...Can you totally see God in this? The king’s invitation presented the opportunity for this "harp player" to learn first-hand information about leading the nation. Do you see? Sometimes our plans - even the...

Finding Joy In The Journey – Part 1

I think every one of us would want this… I think that’s part of why we are here and the reason we sing His songs from the core of our being…It’s the reason we read His Word and try to apply it to our lives; we want to be, as it says in Colossians, “… filled with the fullness of God…”! I can’t completely explain exactly what that means, but I know it has something to do with wet eyes, bent knees, broken hearts, chins up and knees down....
