There are times when our new life in Christ gives us great freedom from the bondage of religious traditions. However, there are times when we must waive our Christian liberties and freedoms to quell the concerns of others – concerns that may come not just from critical accusers, but from genuine seekers of Truth as [...]

 1/1/12 – One service @ 9:45am – hope to see you all!

David succeeded at almost everything he did, and became famous throughout Israel; but notice his humility even while the entire nation was praising him. Young David refused to use his popularity as leverage against Saul’s insecurities. Has God is given you the gift of popularity, or influence, or impact? Don’t allow it to twist your perception of your own importance. It’s a little easier to be humble when we are sitting alone in the grass with sheep, but how do you react to the praises of men?

Join us Sunday Morning at 9:45am as we celebrate the real reason for the season with “Simply Christmas”. In a world that defines Christmas with words like gifts and shopping, let’s define Christmas as Christ’s birthday. Sharing gifts with loved ones is fine, but lets make sure Christ is honored on this celebrated day of His birth. We hope to see you there.

Don’t say there is no room – let Him in. And if and when you really realize your sin, and your need for a Savior, receiving Jesus Christ and preparing room for Him becomes extremely reasonable. Let every heart prepare Him room!…and when they finally got to Bethlehem they found that there was no room for them in the inn… BUT GOD MADE ROOM. Will you?

If you are invited this Christmas Eve, and if you have never received Jesus Christ into your heart, we will be praying for you to let Him in.
And if and when you really realize your sin, and your need for a Savior, receiving Jesus Christ and preparing room for Him becomes extremely reasonable.
Let every heart prepare Him room!
…and when they finally got to Bethlehem they found that there was no room for them in the inn… BUT GOD MADE ROOM.
Will you?

Have you ever had people attack you in some way? Your character? Your competency? Your integrity? In this Bible story notice how even King Saul was intimidated by the strengths of a young boy. When we focus too much on the strengths of others, it makes us insecure and overly conscious of our own shortcomings. This could cause us to avoid people, or even to strike back at them.

In this Bible story notice how even King Saul was intimidated by the strengths of a young boy.

When we focus too much on the strengths of others, it makes us insecure and overly conscious of our own shortcomings. This could cause us to avoid people, or even to strike back at them.

A better response would be to pray and ask God for the continued strength to see ourselves as Christ sees us. In a world steeped in self-consciousness, it is easier said than done.

In this passage we see Godly men debating the Holy Spirit’s leading.  Do you know if you are hearing the Spirit?  Do you hear Him in the words of Scripture, or in a still small voice?   As believers, we should all cry out to the Father and say:  Dear God,  What I know [...]

In this passage we see Godly men debating the Holy Spirit’s leading. Do you know if you are hearing the Spirit? Do you hear Him in the words of Scripture, or in a still small voice? As believers, we should all cry out to the Father and say: Dear God, What I know not teach me … What I see not, show me … Where I feel not, touch me …Where I go not, guide me …I need your wisdom …
